Why Industrial Leaders Trust Us

Heraeus Electro-Nite acquired L&N.

Heraeus became the leading U.S. supplier of single-use sensors and instruments for measuring molten steel.

The deal combined L&N’s measurement instruments with Heraeus’ probe technologies, streamlining supply for major steel mills.

The acquisition eliminated Heraeus’ main rival and added L&N’s intellectual property, customers and manufacturing operations.

Products: Added L&N’s measurement instruments to Heraeus’ portfolio.

Supply chain: Streamlined manufacturing and retired the L&N brand.

Market share: Reached a near-monopoly 85% by 2000.

Crane Co; Azonix Division acquired Kontron.

Crane Co.’s Azonix Division became a leading supplier of rugged computers for harsh environments, merging with Kontron’s Mobile Rugged Business (MRB) to consolidate specialized workstation technology. The acquisition added Kontron’s MRB intellectual property and customer base while transitioning manufacturing of these systems to Billerica, Massachusetts.

Products: Added Kontron’s specialized mobile rugged computing systems and magnesium-cased portable platforms to the Azonix product line.

Supply chain: Streamlined manufacturing by consolidating MRB operations directly into the primary Azonix facility located in Billerica, Massachusetts.

Market share: Significantly expanded Crane Co.’s footprint, securing immediate category leadership in the niche hazardous-environment computing market.

Crane Co; Azonix Division sold to MTL Incorporated division of Cooper Crouse Hinds.

MTL Incorporated, a division of Cooper Crouse-Hinds, acquired Crane Co.'s Azonix division, combining explosion-proof expertise with rugged computing to create a premier provider of hazardous-area visualization and instrumentation. The integration added specialized HMI displays and Barracuda workstations to MTL's portfolio, enhancing their position in the niche process-safety hardware market.

Post acquisition integrations of PCB Piezotronics & Endevco Corporation.

PCB Piezotronics became the dominant global provider of high-performance test and measurement sensors by acquiring Endevco Corporation from Meggitt PLC. The transaction unified Endevco’s industry-standard shock, extreme-environment and crash-testing sensing technology with PCB’s extensive vertical manufacturing capabilities, optimizing advanced sensor distribution for aerospace, automotive and defense industries.

Products: Added Endevco’s specialized MEMS piezoresistive shock accelerometers, miniature blast pressure sensors, high-temperature instrumentation and airborne flight-test charge amplifiers to the primary PCB catalog.

Supply chain: Streamlined manufacturing by absorbing operations into PCB Piezotronics of North Carolina, Inc., extending PCB's vertically integrated production infrastructure and "Total Customer Satisfaction" guarantee across all Endevco facilities and lines.

Market share: Significantly consolidated the high-end vibration, acoustics and extreme high-g dynamic measurement sectors, establishing PCB as an uncontested leader in the aerospace and defense validation market.

Ball Corporation strategic diversification.

Ball Corporation transformed from a legacy, mid-20th-century glass mason jar manufacturer into a hyper-focused global leader in sustainable metal packaging. The company systematically executed an aggressive strategic diversification and subsequent pure-play refinement campaign. It exited legacy glass altogether in 1996, scaled an advanced aerospace technologies subsidiary and ultimately divested that aerospace wing for $5.6 billion in 2024 to consolidate its footprint entirely around global aluminum packaging infrastructure.

Products: Shifted its portfolio from home canning jars to infinitely recyclable aluminum beverage cans, sleek aerosol cans and high-performance aerospace instrumentation before narrowing entirely down to mass-scale global beverage containers.

Supply chain: Transitioned from a localized Midwestern glass furnace layout to a highly complex global procurement network operating over 60 modern aluminum manufacturing plants across the Americas and Europe.

Market share: Refocused entirely to secure an absolute dominant industry position, commanding roughly 30% to 35% of the total global aluminum beverage container market.
