Kevin J. McCarthy is the founder and President of KJ McCarthy Certified Business Brokers, Inc. With a career defined by transaction integrity, executive leadership and deep operational positioning, Kevin serves as a trusted sell-side and buy-side M&A advisor to mid-market companies throughout the Defense, Energy and Metals sectors.

Rather than operating as a generalist broker, Kevin has intentionally aligned his firm’s capabilities with complex, highly regulated industries. His advisory record includes guiding key corporate transitions, divestitures and market-share expansions for notable market leaders, including Heraeus Electro-Nite, Crane Co (Azonix Division), PCB Piezotronics and Ball Corporation.

Grounded in the core pillars of unwavering discretion, sector precision and true fiduciary integrity, Kevin acts as a quiet, definitive partner for corporate development teams, private equity investors and retiring founders. Kevin and his wife live in the Central PA area close to his family. He enjoys golf, traveling, spending time with family and is also an avid wine enthusiast. 

Kevin has a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Grove City College, Grove City Pa. He also attended the Executive Management Program at the University of Virginia.
